Question

Is there a known allowance to use khuf for three days when not traveling, but for reason of sickness, weakness, or difficulty?

Answer

All praise is for Allah and there is no tawfiq or good except by Him. According to the Shafi'i madhhab, one can only use a khuf for three days if they are traveling and one day if they are not traveling. People who are not traveling and using a khuf due to illness, weakness, or difficulty, still only have one day to wipe over it. However, at the end of the day, a resident who is wearing a khuf can take it off, perform wudu again, or just wash their feet if they made wudu while wearing the khuf, and then put the khuf back on to be able to wipe over it for another day. May Allah make things easy for you. Allah knows best what is correct.
